Its not the horsepwer you exert, its the staying power.
I was born in Calgary Alberta in 1960, and then at 6 months old moved over seas and lived in England, Germany, Holland, Venice and Rome being what is called an army brat. I'm sure it was at that time in my life that I caught that life long virus called the " Travel Bug".
At 5 years old we moved back to Canada where we lived all over the lower mainland of BC. At 14 years old we moved to Northern BC on 50 acres of land out in the middle of nowhere, situated on the shore of the Peace river all 5 of us lived in a little lopsided cabin about 12' by 14' that was built in 1927. We had no services at all. No power, no running water. Those years I attribute to the creation of who I am today. With self sufficiency instilled in to my character, at 22 years old I bought my first piece of heavy equipment and Mike Greenwood Ent was born. Within a few years I had a doz people working for me full time and an array of equipment spanning from excavators to graders to dozers and beyond.
I have always had an interest in photography, videography, computers and anything technical and challenging. In 1997 I opened up M&J Computers which is still going strong today. I wound up selling the business in 2004 to my sister, who carries the same self motivation that is needed in running a business.
In 2009 I sold off all the assets in Mike Greenwood Ent and moved to Kelowna, Where I am enjoying the fabulous weather and all that the valley has to offer. Currently I am consulting and working as needed as Construction Manager for various firms in Alberta and have set up an affiliate office here in Kelowna.
Travel now in my life has been ramped up as I try to explore new destinations 2 or 3 times a year and capture those experience not only in memory but also on digital media. Check back often for updates.
